ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
The England captain had to come off in the 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen last weekend after appearing to hurt his ankle. According to Kompany, Kane has trained with the rest of the squad this week but will be monitored and a late decision made on his involvement at Villa Park in the Champions League.

WHAT KOMPANY SAID
Speaking to the media ahead of the match, Kompany said: "I think you have seen Harry was on the pitch today, that went well but we will still have to wait until tomorrow and see how the situation is and then we will make the correct decision. He trained with us today and hopefully everything will work out fine."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Kane has already bagged 10 goals in seven appearances this season and will be desperate to feature on his return to England. The 31-year-old is still yet to win any major silverware in his career and the Champions League will be at the top of his wishlist in 2025, but Bayern are much less likely to get to the latter stages without him on the pitch.

WHAT NEXT FOR KANE?
Kane will travel with the squad to the Midlands, but fans will unlikely gauge his involvement until the line-ups are announced ahead of the match.
